Long programs :

Training for Petroleum Engineers

OGIM provides lengthy, intensive and high-quality training sessions (approximately 6 months), mainly in English, for engineers (five-year university degree) and holders of B.Sc. degrees selected among the best graduates who majored in energy, mechanics, chemistry, electrical engineering, automatics, physics or similar fields. A fairly good level in English is required to be admitted for the training. OGIM also provides crash courses in General English followed by the equivalent of the TOEIC test or by an OGIM- specific test (www.fr.toeic.eu; www.ets.org). The purpose of this lengthy training is to prepare engineers already proficient in general standards for the technical processing of gas and oil from exploration until its storage and shipping. Any engineer who has taken these courses, in addition to his/ her initial training, should be able to quickly integrate his/her new work environment, fit into the organization chart, and cope with the techniques and the specific equipment of the company. This training would eventually ensure him/her wide opportunities for promotion and creativity.

Training for Petroleum Technicians

A four-month theoretical training delivered mainly in English, followed by workshops, designed for the best candidates (Diploma of Higher Education or Bachelor of Technology). An OGIM graduate receives a solid and basic training in fluid mechanics and petroleum chemistry and is familiarized with oil technology like geophysics, and drilling before undertaking further completion techniques and workover, and then oil and gas processing and reservoir engineering and later, courses in regulation, valves and instrumentation.Furthermore, we train our students on the operation and maintenance of surface equipment and rotationg machinery. The training is completed with courses on health and safety in the workplace (HSE).

OGIM graciously helps and advises its engineers and technicians having successfully completed a lengthy training program on job-hunting both in Tunisia and abroad through our valuable and wide network of connections and partners in the world of industry, economy and civil service.
